(Marionnette and Hair Sister)
The Puppet Cabaret presented an evening of spectacle, as puppet performers and their human counterparts spin a tale of celestial love for earth-bound things.
Audiences were drawn into the risqué and dimly lit underworld of the Puppet Cabaret, amidst lion taming, opera singing, swinging legs and sequin glitter,
where performers indulge in beauty, satire and the odd attempt at introspection through puppetry poetics.
This dark-toned fairytale drew talents from the Purple Dragon Puppet Troupe and various corners of the community to explore elements of puppetry,
masked movement, music, and sound art in live performance. It was made possible with the generous support from the City of Kingston Arts Fund.
